March 18thMEMBERS’ SPRING SHOW – New judge, Ivor Clarke will be judging our Show this year
April 15thCancelled: Dr Margaret Webster will give an illustrated talk on ‘The national collection of primulas‘ of which, she is the national collection holder.
May 20thCancelled: We are delighted to welcome back to our Club, Mary Payne, MBE, to give us an illustrated talk entitled ‘Minimum effort, maximum effect‘.
JunePostponed: Holiday to Norfolk to see some of East Anglia‘s beautiful gardens. We will be based in the historic city of Norwich.
July 15thCancelled: A welcome return of Colin Higgins who will talk to us about ‘Doorstep Wildlife and beyond the garden gate’, a follow up to his 2017 talk to the Club.
July 22ndMike James’s Treasure Hunt. Meet at the Memorial Club at 6.30 pm where parking is easy and where a drink can be enjoyed after the walk.
Saturday August 1stCancelled: MEMBERS‘ ANNUAL SHOW
Bernard and Sheila Fletcher will be our judges this year. Please enter to ensure the high standard of the Show is maintained.
Saturday September 5thClub outing to Birmingham Botanic Garden including a stop at the popular Gloucester Services. £20 per person. The coach will leave the village at 9 am. Back home at approximately 5pm.
September 16thCancelled: Mickey Little of Avon Bulbs Ltd will talk to us on ‘Bulbs and their selection‘. He will bring with him bulbs and plants to sell.
October 21stCancelled: Laura Bett will talk to us on ‘Hedgehog awareness – how to encourage hedgehogs into your garden’, in support of Prickles Hedgehog Rescue
November 18thCancelled: Another welcome return speaker, Susannah Applegate, will give a talk ‘Plant to Plate’. She has promised to give this a Christmas twist.
January 20thLocal celebrities Bob Buck & Giles Morris will tell us about ‘Meadows’ for which we will make a donation to the Flower bank funds.
