The Church on the Green
The Church on the Green is the new name for our joint congregation of Methodists and Baptists working and worshiping together in Pill. We are a warm and welcoming community of believers who have joined together to serve the people of Pill, Easton in Gordano and Portbury.
We are part of Pill, Easton in Gordano and Portbury Churches Together and we work closely with our Anglican, Salvation Army and Catholic friends, who also serve the community.
Sunday, 10.30am - morning worship, everyone is welcome.
Wednesdays 10am-3pm - we host a community Warm Room where people of all ages are welcome to meet, chat, read etc over a cup of coffee or tea. At noon, we have a free soup and roll lunch.
Thursday mornings 9am-11am - we hold our Ten Tots toddler group for parents/carers and their children up to school age.
Men's Breakfast - Held quarterly on Saturday mornings in conjunction with the other churches.
Other special events and activities are advertised on the Pill Methodist website.
Wheelchair accessible toilets, hearing support. Full disabled access to the building. Refreshments available
Attendance at Sunday worship services and Wednesday Warm Room is open to everyone. Details of who can join or attend the different group activities will be made available upon request.
There are no fees for being part of the church. The church is financed through the regular voluntary giving of those who attend.
The charges for attending Ten Tots are £1 for the first child and 50p for each subsequent child.
Warm Room donations are welcome but not compulsory
The majority of our work is run by volunteers from within the church. There is no greater joy than to serve others within the church and in the community whilst being part of a warm, welcoming and caring team of volunteers.
