Crockerne Pill & District History Society

The Society was formed in 1977 to meet the demand for information on local history and to widen the appeal of learning more about our past.
We hold six evening meetings a year in the main hall on the ground floor at Pill Memorial Club. Each meeting is on the third Thursday of the month commencing at 8.00pm and is held in the months of March (AGM), April, May, September, October and November.
At our meetings we welcome speakers on a range of local history topics with a percentage of these having a maritime theme in line with our local heritage.
During June we have a day trip to a place of historical interest. In addition to our meetings we carry out research into local historical matters and undertake small exhibitions for our society and local organisations.
Our current annual subscription rate is £7.00. Visitors are welcome at £3 per meeting.
If you wish to join the Society, please download our application form or fill in a form when you attend your first meeting.
We look forward to welcoming you to our Society!
