Carbon Capture Group (Parish Council)

We are a sub-group of the Parish Council's Climate and Ecological Crisis Working Group. We look for ways the PC can capture carbon locally by finding places to plant trees and hedges and have helped to establish and maintain a few new meadows in the Parish. Many of our volunteers help with regular practical working parties planting and mulching trees and raking hay in parish meadows.

Meeting schedule:
We have an email group for quarterly updates, and a WhatsApp group called 'treehuggers' for practical working parties.

Accessibility:
Refreshments available

Membership restrictions:

Volunteering information:
Yes. We would welcome more volunteers to help us find new places to plant and to help with practical working parties. It's a great way to keep fit and meet others who are wanting to take action to help look after our planet and local green spaces.
